Woodburn Farm is one of Tasmania's most historical farms. Granted to Gilbert Robertson, the Chief Constable of the Coal River area in the 1820's. Land for St Johns Church (the oldest Catholic Church in Australia) was donated by the second owner of Woodburn, Mr John Cassidy in the 1830's.

There are lambs to feed from August until October. Stroll through the never ending rows of apricot trees or the coal river tracks and take in the history of the district and Woodburn Farm. Platypus reside in secret little nests in banks of the Coal River, and if you are quite you can sometimes catch them swimming merrily just on dusk or daybreak.

Salamanca Market runs every Saturday and is just 20 minutes from Hatcher's Manor and Richmond.
